Another Dad Update

Dad's off the ventilator now, but still in ICU. The doctors all say he's doing great, but he has to stay in ICU due to ongoing fluid in the lungs and the particular drugs he's getting to control heart rate, blood sugar, etc. Just as well, it's actually a lot nicer and quieter. I don't know if it's a good sign that he's complaining more about the food and the tubes and all the poking and prodding. He's figured out a way to make his alarm go off when he doesn't feel like reaching for the call button. Whatever works I guess!
