Emphasis on Great
My co worker, Jesse, rents a room from a local dog behaviorist during the week to avoid the long daily commute. Living with a dog behaviorist wasn't planned, it just worked out that way. The benefits include a five minute commute vs. 1.5 hours, and Jesse gets to keep Bugatti, his cutey pie and Perky Potholder-award-winning pug with him. Boo has picked up a few tricks, gets the run of the place, and has lots of new friends to play with while Jesse is at work. And we enjoy hearing the stories about new dogs that show up for play dates and training. Michelle is also a Great Dane rescuer and has her own Great Dane (Gus), who Jesse says is very huge and lovable. But not as huge as Bob. Check out this big boy (and the look on Boo's face). The second picture is Gus with Bob and Boo, who firmly believes that size is not an issue and does not understand what all the hoopla is about with these other dogs, even if they could accidentally sit on him and not realize it (though I guess it's Boo who's sitting on Bob in this case).

it's like they're super models. i bet william wegman would love to photograph them.
ReplyDeleteBoo is always available for modeling opportunities, though sometimes the attention goes to his head. The day of the photograph he guarded the communal water bowl and wouldn't let the other dogs drink from it, and he also claimed a Dane-sized dog bed as his own, sat in the middle, and dared anyone to come near. All signs point to an acute case of Little Dog Syndrome, if you ask me.
