Further experimentation with homemade sock loops has proven to be quite messy. And now I don't have any more black socks. Seems there are only a few rare species of socks that are suitable for turning into loops. The rest, well, they just sort of fray away into a lap full of fuzzles and schnitzels that make the cat sneeze. Trouble is, like a Fannie Mae chocolate, one just don't know what one's got 'til one makes that first cut. Speaking of which, does anyone know who said this about a Thermos? We think it was an old-time comedian.
"It keeps the hot things hot and the cold things cold;
how do it know?!"
